A Portable Electromagnetic Head Imaging System Using Metamaterial Loaded Compact Directional 3D Antenna

A non-invasive, low-powered, and portable electromagnetic (EM) head imaging system is presented using metamaterial (MTM) loaded compact directional 3D antenna. The antenna consists of two slotted dipole elements with 2×3 3×3 finite MTM array in top ground, respectively, folded parasitic that operate within the frequency range 1.12 GHz to 2.5 GHz. are optimized enhance overall performance regarding bandwidth, realized gain, efficiency, directionality both free space proximity model. mathematical modelling also analyzed justify integration unit cells ground side impact on SAR analysis performed. tissue-mimicking phantom fabricated measured validate performance. nine-antenna setup used measure collect scattering parameters later detect reconstruct haemorrhage images by applying updated IC-CF-DMAS algorithm. demonstrates feasibility proposed as a platform successfully detect, locate monitor haemorrhages inside EM system.
